Look at everything as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time. Then your time on earth will be filled with glory. — Betty Smith

I Dream a Dream

Les Miserables – I Dreamed A Dream (TAC). Sung here by Ruthie Henshall, this song is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. But it is a sad song when you listen to the words. So I just try to just enjoy the music and the stunning voice of the singer.

It is also the song that propelled Susan Boyle to stardom overnight when she sang it in the “Britain’s Got Talent” TV show. There were tears in the eyes of the judges, and audience alike. Only moments before the judges were convinced this woman on the stage couldn’t sing anything. They were laughing at her, along with the audience, but that all changed the instant Susan opened her mouth, and the melodious words poured out from her heart.

It is one of the best examples of not pre-judging others, by their looks, and demeanor, that I know. Susan captured the heart of the world with her performance. Her first album is out now, I have it on order. There is something to be learned from everyone we meet. No matter their economic circumstances, nationality, or education. Learn to listen before assuming you know the value of others. Everyone is precious to God.
