PEACEMAKERS the Power of One

Sometimes when some think of Power, they think there must be others to “control”, perhaps even “muscle” around, the workers to be bossed, the less educated to disrespect, the unfortunate to disdain over, the winners over losers, the tax payers, voters to manipulate, leaders of prosperous countries, authoritative to the smaller, adults over children, owning to beat, perhaps abuse or that some are just better in judgment over another, and when these situations are in place, some might bask in the glory of their power, their ability to control others. One definition of power is “possessing or exercising influence or authority” which is not bad, but when the Love of Power exceeds the Power to Love, the ability to reside in peace diminishes.
Yet truly, the only Power of worth is the power within, the power to change ourselves. There will never be a more necessary one to control than ourselves.
So that is where we must start. How can we hope for Peace if we do not have peace within. How can we have Peace within if we don’t know Love? How can we truly Love if we do not realize our oneness with all others? How can we possibly accomplish this if we don’t realize that we ARE that which we seek and hope for, which is inherent in all beings, LOVE. How can we not open our hearts and feel that what we feel, so must another. Can it be so difficult to not place ourselves in another’s perspective? How can we then wish anything for ourselves yet not see that it must be also wished for all others?
As Ghandi so wisely offered, we must be the change we want to see in the world. Let us use this immense Power of ONE that we All hold and be the change we hope for. Peace and Love is already within, let’s get it out and merge our lights in Oneness and see how this warm glow empowers the paradise we came to create.
Let us continue to be the Peace Makers, to ourselves and then radiate this onward to all others, yet in every little thing that we do to bring Peace, Love, Joy, Kindness, and Compassion to another, we create it also for ourselves…it’s such a beautiful catch 22…circle of blessing when bestowed in a smile of awareness giving heart.
May you go forth in Peace, knowing that you are the love that enlightens and the Power of One that truly creates the change we hope for. We really are in it together, and it’s such a joyous relief to know we are not alone, but blessedly sharing the vision, yet individually powerful with the unlimited force of God residing within.
Wisdom from a wise soul that makes perfect sense. When the power of love becomes more important than the love of power, there is hope for peace. Let us choose the Power of LOVE, for ourselves, the peace makers, always. Be empowered to the LOVE within you.
