A Near Death Experience, No. 241.

Deadly Walk in the Woods.

Hi, my name is Jack. I am 14 years old, and I was 11 when I had my near death experience or death experience.

I was walking with my friends in the woods and there was a log leading across a lake. It was about 50-65 feet high. My close friend Sally dared my other close friend Jill to walk across it. She slowly went across. When she was a little past the middle of the log she started to lose balance. Everyone started crying help. I told her I was gonna save her. I got on the log, and then she started screaming get off before you die!

I calmly told her that this was about as thick as the gymnastic beam and that I took gymnastics long enough not to fall. Tears were running down my eyes in fear she might fall. I walked to Jill, and hugged her saying it would be ok! The log started to break lose because of our weight. Right before it snapped I pushed Jill to the opposite side we got on at. She grabbed onto the ledge and she climbed up, I DIDN'T KNOW IF SHE HAD MADE IT!

I heard screams and my name being called out many times. I looked up and saw another close friend M.K., jump down and give out her hand trying to reach me....I was way to far away to touch her but I still tried....I remember Sally screaming no! Everyone screamed and cried as I fell to my death, I couldn't forget about Jill and if she was ok. I can still feel myself hitting the water. It gets blurry....I saw a white light. I ran as fast as I could to the light....I couldn't think...I didn't know what I was doing...I couldn't control myself.

When I got to the light there were two humungous golden doors. They opened up and I saw flowers, butterflys and animals running around...I saw my brother Mark who passed away when I was six standing there in a grey t-shirt and blue jeans with his hands in his pockets. He had a small smile on his face.

A hand reached out of the doors and touched my chest, right above my breast. Then a deep voice said "it's not your time." I then woke up and flowers were all around me. My mother laid beside me with tears in her eyes yelling to my dad in the hallway that I was awake. I asked her how long was I sleeping? She replied "three days...you died, your heart stopped, but then it came back again!" I asked about Jill...she said "not a scratch on her." I cried with joy...so now you (the readers) know what to look forward to.

I wanna say thank you God...for letting me live! Thank you sooo much....you saved me!
